One Degree Financial Announces the Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund Scholarship 

Tysons, Virginia – October 18, 2024 - One Degree Financial proudly announces the launch of its 2024 scholarship program, the Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund. This initiative honors Rod Loges' grandfather, Dick Loges, and supports the educational pursuits of children of veteran entrepreneurs and business founders. 

Rod Loges, co-founder and CEO of One Degree Financial, stated, "This scholarship focuses on honoring my grandfather and all veteran business owners. We're committed to supporting the next generation of leaders from families with a legacy of both military service and entrepreneurship." 

The Dick Loges Veteran Entrepreneur Fund is open to high school seniors, current undergraduate college students, and those enrolled in or planning to attend trade schools. Applicants must be children of veteran entrepreneurs or business founders. 

Key dates for the scholarship program: 

• Application Period Opens: January 6, 2025 
• Application Period Closes: March 31, 2025 
• Final Selection: May 31, 2025 

The fund will award a one-time $2,500 scholarship to be applied toward tuition or fees at the recipient's chosen educational institution. 

Applicants are required to submit: 

1. A one-minute video about their veteran parent or guardian
2. Resume and transcript 
3. Responses to qualifying questions about their parent's military service and business 
4. A short essay on how their parent's entrepreneurial journey has inspired their educational and career goals
